A donation was made towards the British Forces Foundation to support their traveling pantomime.
The British Forces Foundation is acutely aware of the important role played by families within the Armed Forces community.
Having settled, content families is a vital contributor to the positive morale of our serving men and women. Furthermore, the partners and children of serving personnel often face pressures and sacrifices that are innate to the Armed Forces -ranging from partners being deployed away for long periods, redundancies and rehousing to the more extreme issues such as living with partners suffering from PostTraumatic Stress Disorder or other mental health issues.
The BFF was keen to support families via a project that was in keeping with BFF’s credentials. We came up with the travelling pantomime initiative as a cost-effective way of boosting the morale of service families around the UK.
BFF’s Panto Bus provides a full production featuring a small cast of 5-6 at military bases across the UK for audiences up to 300 people.
The shows are interactive with the cast talking to the children and parents at the interval and afterwards, creating a unique atmosphere and experience for the audience.
